BIP SXM Attends INTA Conference on "The Business of Trade Secrets 2025

The Bureau for Intellectual Property Sint Maarten (BIP SXM) recently attended the International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Conference in New York. This year’s event focused on 'The Business of Trade Secrets,' highlighting the evolving role of trade secrets in an AI-driven world.

In attendance were BIP SXM's Director, Mrs. Vincentia Rosen-Sandiford and PR Officer, Ms. Amanda Ramirez. Their presence highlighted Sint Maarten’s commitment to staying informed on global trends in intellectual property (IP).  

The conference brought together IP experts and legal professionals to discuss the growing importance of trade secrets in today's business sector. Key topics included how artificial intelligence affects trade secret protection, the best ways to protect valuable business information and the legal steps to enforce trade secret protection in various markets.

BIP SXM remains dedicated to educating and supporting all innovators in protecting their IP. The insights gained from the INTA conference will further strengthen the Bureau’s ongoing efforts to raise IP awareness.
