The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy of the Netherlands (Ministry EAC-NL), the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP), the Bureau for Intellectual Property Sint Maarten (BIP SXM) and the Chamber of Commerce of St. Eustatius hosted a workshop for the St. Eustatius business community.
During the workshop, BOIP and BIP SXM gave presentations to the entrepreneurs.
Mr. Sandley Conep of BOIP gave a presentation on the importance of trademark protection and the Director of BIP SXM, Mrs. Vincentia Rosen-Sandiford, presented on the IP differences and similarities in the Dutch Kingdom.
BIP SXM's director was pleased with the outcome of this workshop and with how well the participants absorbed the IP information provided during the workshop. BIP SXM looks forward to continuing IP awareness for Sint Maarten and within the region.
